Monitoring and Predictive Analytics for Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems and Batteries
Abstract
This article describes the Absolite-PRO Multifunctional Controller (MFC), a Russian hardware and software system (HSS). This original development by Abitech-Pro is designed for monitoring uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and batteries. The paper describes the architectural model, software, and application diagram for the HSS for monitoring and predictive analytics. The HSS supports polling of monitored devices via SNMP and Modbus. Collected parameters can be stored both on the HSS itself and downloaded to external databases for subsequent visualization and analysis. The HSS can use various network connections to transmit collected data, including a GSM modem. In the latter case, the entire monitoring system will be completely isolated from the enterprise network where the UPS and batteries are installed.
