Process Reengineering and Automation as a Basis for Reducing Delays Against the Directive Commissioning Deadlines for Nuclear Power Units in the Russian Federation

Abstract


This paper addresses the problem of delays in meeting the directive deadlines for completing pre-commissioning activities during the commissioning stage of a nuclear power unit. The study demonstrates that this problem originates from the complexity of coordinating the management of key engineering objects that simultaneously participate in multiple interrelated processes, as well as from the lack of integrated tools capable of combining these objects into a unified process for managing the directive completion deadlines of pre-commissioning activities. The resulting fragmentation significantly limits the possibilities for process automation and, consequently, leads to delays in managerial decision-making. The research formulates a hypothesis for managing the directive deadlines of pre-commissioning activities at nuclear power units and proposes a logical model for automating the corresponding management process.
