Using automated information systems to improve the delivery management process: prospects and challenges
Abstract
The article discusses the main business processes occurring in the activities of logistics companies. Existing technologies that allow automating the activities of logistics companies are analyzed. A justification for the use of automated information systems in logistics activities has been completed. The relevance of using automated information systems in delivery management is highlighted. The advantages of automated systems in comparison with traditional delivery management methods are considered. The justification for the implementation technology of the automated information system has been completed. A number of requirements have been developed for an automated information system used in logistics activities. The main directories used to store data in the information system are described. As a result of the work, an information system was proposed that allows automating the logistics activities of an organization. It has been determined that the main advantage of the proposed information system is the reduction in time spent on standard operations. Based on the results of the work, conclusions and possibilities for using an automated information system in logistics activities were drawn. It has been determined that the use of an automated information system will improve delivery management processes using modern technologies.
