Olga Patrievskaya, Sergey Mityagin

Abstract

The development of modern cities is closely connected with information technologies, the introduction of which has made it possible to speed up and simplify many processes of interaction of citizens with authorities and business. However, the short life span of modern information technologies, and often the industry focus on the development of information infrastructure of modern cities increasingly leads to the need for reengineering and transformation of this infrastructure. A significant role in this is played by breakthrough information technologies, which are both a source of technological risk and a potential for development. In this article, the authors consider the problems of introducing breakthrough technologies in the conditions of the existing information infrastructure, risks and expected effects.
